Hey Ben, I was wondering what your opinion was on Helicore strings, these are the strings I'm ordering and I wanted to know if they're good for playing.

If there not, then could you do a video on what strings to buy.

Much is obliged.

A lot of you have been asking me about help with specific techniques on the violin. Please do a search on the videos page of ChamberHymns to see if the technique has already been covered before asking about it -- there are over 200 videos in ChamberHymns now, so chances are there's at least one that already addresses your question. Good luck!

Thanks for all of the continued support! It's great to hear that many of you are rekindling your desires to play violin. Keep up the great work!

You can vocalize here or else send our Sales department an email to claim your 1,000 VP for buying a CD. I'll get you taken care of, Rosalee!

By the way Ben, your Gavotte in G minor video really helped me earlier this year for my solo/ensemble contest and I got a 2. Thank you for posting all these helpful videos. Also, to Sandra C, it's possible to reach grade 3 in 7 months. Some of my classmates at school who had never played before were doing grade 3 music. It all depends on how much time and how hard you are willing to practice. I hope this was useful and good luck

Hello, I have been playing violin seriously for about a year now after having not played for 6 years. Prior to that I played in 4th and 5th grade but that was pretty much only the basics. I am an incoming senior and I want to play in college but I am not sure if I will be good enough for that. Currently my teacher has me learning Concerto No. 5 1st movement by F. Seitz, is that good?

Hey Ben!! I saw all your vibrato videos, and I'm trying to work on wrist/hand vibrato. But my hand is so stiff and I can't do it. Is there any way to loosen it up? I hope you can reply to this and thanks!!

Hi Ben, I am just wondering if it is good if a beginner learning violin at the age of 15 this year 2010 and also be able to get to Grade 3 in about 7 months. Some replied saying it is fast but then I want to know the truth.

Just wanted to say thank you! Your playing has been inspirational and the videos a great help. I have just started playing again after laying down my violin more than 40 years ago. Music has always been a big part of my life and having the violin in my hands again feels great. My playing may never reach your level but I'm having a great time trying. Thanks!

Thank you for your time and effort in creating and uploading your videos. Inspires me to practice to play like you pros. Your videos are really a great help. I can now play He's a Pirate though not perfect yet. Thanks for letting us know about Adam DeGraff's challenge (his you tube videos together with yours inspired me to start learning how to play the violin just this April). I'm a super beginner but I am very interested to learn to play Sweet Child O' Mine, even if I don't learn it in ti

Ok, so I love it when I can get my hands on any sheet music -- whether it be for viola (which i play) or not. So this was a great way for to get some! :) I think you're an amazing violinist and glad for the vibrato lessons you've posted! I was having a hard time with hand/wrist vibrato and you're videos have really helped me!
Thanks

Hey Mr.Chan!! Other than you just being an outstanding violinist, but a trustworthy person. I can see that in your eyes. Anyways, when I enter my home page at this site, all the boxes are still checked from a couple of days that I checked. Usually, everyday, the boxes are being unchecked. I just wanted to let you know that maybe this is a glitch. If you know the solution to this maybe you can tell me why, and I'll be more than happy.

THANKS!!!
